Stellantis and Jaguar Land Rover will explore product and technology collaborations in the United States. The move aims to create development synergies and support long term growth.
Stellantis and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) have announced the signing of a non-binding memorandum of understanding to investigate potential collaborations on product development within the United States. This preliminary agreement is designed to identify areas where both companies can create synergies in technology and product design by leveraging their respective institutional strengths.
The partnership aims to generate significant value for both organisations while allowing them to maintain their individual focus on customer experience. Antonio Filosa, the chief executive officer of Stellantis, noted that exploring such synergies in technology development could provide meaningful benefits for both parties. He emphasised that the collaboration would help the company remain focused on delivering high quality products in the American market.
Echoing this sentiment, PB Balaji, the chief executive officer of Jaguar Land Rover, stated that collaboration is a vital component of the company's evolution. He explained that working with Stellantis would allow the British brand to explore complementary capabilities that support its long term growth objectives in the United States. The move highlights a growing trend of cooperation between major global carmakers to share the high costs associated with modern vehicle technology and platform development.
Both manufacturers have indicated that the focus remains on unlocking new opportunities in the premium and mass market segments, ensuring they remain competitive in the rapidly evolving North American automotive landscape.
