Suzuki India has provided a new colour option for its sporty 125 cc scooter called Metallic Matte Platinum Silver No. 2 / Glass Sparkle Black. This gray-black dual tone colour option retains the same funky graphic design that Suzuki introduced earlier this year as part of the OBD-2B emission norm update. The new shade will join the existing colour palette of the Avenis and will be available with both the Standard and Ride Connect Edition variants, priced at the same ₹91,400 and ₹93,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.
The rest of the scooter remains the same. It continues to be powered by the 124.4 cc, single-cylinder engine producing 8.6 bhp and 10 Nm. Some of the noteworthy features on offer include a USB port in the front box, a shuttered key slot system, and an external hinge type fuel filler cap. There’s 21.8-litre underseat storage space on offer, while LED headlamp and tail lamp, and a fully digital LCD console rounds up its feature list.

The 125 cc scooter segment has developed quite the aspiration quotient for Indian customers. What was earlier a niche segment occupied by just the Aprilia SR 125, started to gather traction when TVS entered the segment with the Ntorq 125. While Suzuki did join the party later on, in terms of sales the Avenis 125 never really flew off the shelves like the TVS Ntorq 125. For reference, in June 2025 Suzuki sold 5,111 Avenis 125s, whereas TVS retailed a whopping 22,822 units of the Ntorq 125.
It was probably this stark difference in sales number that has forced Suzuki to amp up the attractive quotient of the Avenis 125. Will this new shade help Suzuki with more customers for the Avenis 125 ? We shall learn that in the next couple of months.
