Suzuki Burgman Street Facelift Spotted On Test

New colours, future emission compliant engine and with slight modifications, Suzuki launched the refreshed Burgman last week. And now, a test mule of the same maxi-scooter has been spotted on test near the company’s headquarters. And there are some differences to note.

For starters, the apron design is going to receive a small change. There’s a new sharper face to be found now with the side reflectors now moved from the front mudguard to the inner apron. Given the heavy camouflage wrap, other changes to the design cannot be spotted. However, we think that Suzuki would give the same sharp creases and accentuated 3D logos to Burgman like it has done with the updated Access.

The motor will continue to be the 124.3 cc single, with a more spirited tune in comparison to the Access. On the Burgman and the Avenis, the motor is pushing out 8.58 bhp and 10 Nm, 0.2 bhp less than the family scooter. There is a slight difference on the motor front between the Burgman that was recently launched to the one spotted. The exhaust muffler is not the chunky blacked-out unit, rather the same shorter and stubbier one from the Access. 

We expect to hear more details on the final form of the new Burgman sometime later this year. Expect a minor price hike of roughly ₹3000-₹5000 for the updated scooter.
