Suzuki has announced the prices for the e Vitara in the UK and Europe, ahead of its launch in the country. The prices for the brand’s first-ever electric vehicle start at GBP 29,999 (roughly ₹35.03 lakh) for the base-spec 49 kWh Motion variant, and go up to ₹37,799 (roughly ₹44.13 lakh) for the top-spec 61 kWh Ultra AllGrip-e variant.
| e Vitara variants | UK Price | India price (converted) |
|---|---|---|
| 49 kWh Motion | £29,999 | ₹35.03 lakh |
| 61 kWh Motion | £32,999 | ₹38.53 lakh |
| 61 kWh Ultra | £35,799 | ₹41.80 lakh |
| 61 kWh Motion AllGrip-e | £34,999 | ₹40.86 lakh |
| 61 kWh Ultra AllGrip-e | £37,799 | ₹44.13 lakh |
While the e Vitara may sound expensive in the UK, it won’t be as expensive in India since it will be manufactured at Maruti Suzuki’s Gujarat plant. Currently too, the car sold in UK and Europe is exported from India. As of now, only Suzuki UK has announced the prices of the e Vitara, while other markets are expected to announce the prices soon.

The e Vitara in the UK comes with two trims – Motion and Ultra – and gets two battery pack options as well as Suzuki’s AllGrip-e all-wheel drive (AWD) system. The smaller 49 kWh battery pack is only available with the base-spec Motion trim. The 61 kWh battery pack gets both variants as well as the AWD system.

It remains to be seen if Maruti Suzuki adopts a similar variant naming system for the e Vitara in India. While the India-spec car is confirmed to get the larger 61 kWh battery pack, it could also come with the smaller 49 kWh battery, to make the e Vitara more accessible.

Suzuki has not yet revealed the range of the e Vitara. However, it had already revealed the power figures of the e Vitara. The 49 kWh battery pack gets a single motor on the front axle producing 142 bhp and 189 Nm, while the 61 kWh battery’s single-motor variant churns out 172 bhp and 189 Nm. The AWD variant gets a 172 bhp motor on the front axle and a 64 bhp motor on the rear axle, combined, it produces 181 bhp and 300 Nm.

In the UK, the e Vitara rivals the likes of the Kia EV 3, Peugeot E-2008 and Smart #1. While in India, it will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Harrier EV, Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e, MG ZS EV and BYD Atto 3.
