One of the most iconic superbikes in India just raked in its highest sales in the country.
The Suzuki Hayabusa is India’s most recognised superbike, well-known as the Dhoom bike in popular culture. And its popularity soared to new heights as 511 Busas were sold in FY25. This marks a massive 71 per cent year-on-year increase in sales compared to 298 units it retailed in FY 2024.
Since Suzuki began selling the Hayabusa – initially as a completely built unit (CBU) import before transitioning to local assembly at its Gurugram plant – the iconic superbike has achieved cumulative sales of 2,400 units in the Indian market.
Currently priced at ₹16.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Suzuki Hayabusa is available through select Suzuki big bike dealerships across India. The 2025 iteration of the bike was launched recently with a new colour option: Matte Green. Along with that, launch control and cruise control were also introduced to the bike.
Beyond the above, the rest of the bike has remained the same. It continues to draw power from that legendary 1,340 cc, inline-four cylinder engine that churns out 187 bhp and 150 Nm at the rear wheel, and the engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox with bi-directional quickshifter available as standard.
The Suzuki Hayabusa’s legendary stature is sure to carry on for years to come. It is an able tourer as it makes long stints on the highway surprisingly less tiring. This quality of looking sporty and yet being able to munch miles rapidly, even on our poor quality roads, makes it the most unique offering in our market.
