Suzuki Motor Corporation has unveiled its Technology Strategy 2026, outlining a 10-year roadmap that places India at the heart of its global manufacturing, export, and sustainable mobility ambitions. Under its core philosophy of Minimisation of Energy and Maximisation of Essential Value, the automaker aims to deploy lightweight, market-optimised technologies through a flexible multi-pathway approach tailored to regional requirements.
As part of its strategy to strengthen its global business foundation alongside Japan, Suzuki is scaling up its production footprint in India. The company aims to achieve an annual manufacturing capacity of approximately 4 million units in India in fiscal 2030 and beyond.
Under this roadmap, Suzuki will leverage research and development from Japan to optimise products for Indian consumers while utilising its Indian operations as a primary export hub to supply vehicles worldwide. Expanding its clean energy initiatives in India, Suzuki also announced that its third domestic biogas plant commenced operations in August 2026.
