The Curvv is expected to get electric, petrol and diesel powertrain options.
Months after showcasing the almost-production-ready version at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, we have caught the Tata Curvv Coupe SUV on one of its test runs. Tata Motors had already indicated that the launch of the EV version of the car will be in 2024, and we expect it to be closer to the festive season.
Other than the EV, the Tata Curvv will get multiple powertrain options, including, petrol and diesel and we expect Tata to even get CNG into the picture, given how strong a player it has become in this space over the last few years. Of these, the first to arrive will be the Curvv EV which is expected to arrive by September 2024. Tata Motors will launch the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) versions of the Curvv 3-4 months after the EV. The Curvv is expected to sit above the Nexon in Tata Motors’ portfolio.

At the moment, not much is known about the electric version of the Curvv. However, it is expected to get multiple powertrain and battery pack options and have a range of up to 500 km on a single charge.
On the other hand, the Curvv ICE will get a new 1.2-litre turbocharged gasoline direct injection (TGDi) engine which is expected to produce 123 bhp and 225 Nm. Furthermore, it will also get a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 113 bhp and 260 Nm. Both engines are expected to be mated to a manual and an automatic gearbox.

Tata Motors has revealed that the Curvv ICE will measure 4,308 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width and 1,630 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,560mm. The Curvv ICE will have a boot space of 422 litres.
The Curvv will also get a panoramic sunroof, a large touchscreen infotainment system with Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and many features from the Nexon. Furthermore, the Curvv is also expected to get ADAS, six airbags, ABS with EBD and many other safety features.
