The company has announced that the complete variant-wise price list will be revealed by the end of this month.

Tata Motors has officially launched the highly anticipated Harrier EV in India, pricing it at an introductory ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). The company has also announced that the complete variant-wise price list will be revealed by the end of this month, while bookings will open on July 2, 2025 with deliveries to commence soon after.

At the launch event, Tata also pulled the wraps off a new Harrier EV Stealth Edition, a sportier and more aggressive-looking version of the standard EV model. Dressed in an exclusive Stealth Black matte finish, the new edition aims to cater to customers looking for a more distinct and premium aesthetic. The Harrier EV will be available in a total of five exterior colour options — Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, Pristine White, Pure Grey, and the Stealth-exclusive matte black.

While the overall body design remains consistent with the standard Harrier EV, the Stealth Edition stands out with its unique paint scheme and darker theme. It features 19-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels that not only enhance its visual appeal but also contribute to improved aerodynamic efficiency and range.

Inside, the Stealth Edition follows an all-black theme with gloss-black inserts across various interior panels. This theme complements the exterior’s sporty character and adds a sense of premium minimalism to the cabin. The overall layout, including the digital cockpit, remains in line with the top-spec Harrier EV trims.

The Harrier EV is underpinned by Tata’s new Acti-EV architecture, a born-EV platform that allows for a flat floor and improved interior packaging. Customers will be able to choose between two battery pack options — a 65 kWh unit paired with rear-wheel drive (RWD) and a larger 75 kWh battery available with both RWD and a dual-motor QWD (Quad-Wheel-Drive) layout.

It is expected that the Harrier EV Stealth Edition will be offered only in the top-spec configuration, featuring the 75 kWh battery and the QWD setup. In this configuration, the EV deploys two electric motors — one on each axle — generating a combined output of 390 bhp and 504 Nm of torque. The rear-mounted motor delivers 235 bhp, while the front motor produces 156 bhp, enabling all-wheel-drive capability for better traction across terrains.

The Harrier EV offers a comprehensive suite of drive and terrain modes. There are four primary drive modes —Eco, City, Sport, and Boost, catering to different driving needs and energy optimisation preferences. Additionally, there are six terrain modes —Normal, Snow/Grass, Mud-Ruts, Sand, Rock Crawl, and Custom, providing flexibility for off-road adventures.

The SUV is certified with an ARAI MIDC-rated range of 627 km, although Tata Motors claims a real-world range between 480 km and 505 km on a full charge, depending on driving conditions and usage patterns. This places the Harrier EV on par with rivals such as the Mahindra BE 6 and XUV 9e.

For charging, the Harrier EV supports both AC and DC options. It can fast-charge at up to 120 kW, allowing the battery to go from 20% to 80% in just 25 minutes. The system also allows a 15-minute charge to add 250 km of range — a key selling point for EV buyers looking for convenience and minimal downtime. With a standard 7.2 kW AC home charger, a full 10–100% charge can be achieved in 10.7 hours.

While official pricing for the Stealth Edition hasn’t been disclosed yet, it is expected to command a premium over the regular top-spec Harrier EV variants. We expect the Harrier EV Stealth Edition could be priced between ₹30 lakh and ₹32 lakh (ex-showroom) when it goes on sale alongside the rest of the lineup.
