Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles (TMCV) has initiated deliveries of the Tata Prima E.55S battery electric prime mover to Enviiiro Wheels Mobility in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.
This zero-emission, heavy-duty vehicle is designed for mineral and ore transportation, supporting sustainable logistics in sectors like power, mining, cement, and steel.
Vehicle Features
The Prima E.55S features an electric drivetrain with an e-axle, regenerative braking, and a 350 km range per charge.
It includes a 3-speed Auto Shift transmission, dual gun fast charging, and safety features like Driver Monitoring System, Lane Departure Warning, Tyre Pressure Monitoring, Cruise Control, and optional ADAS.
Sustainability Impact
Enviiiro Wheels Mobility aims to decarbonise operations, aligning with customers’ net-zero goals. The Prima E.55S supports this with zero-emission performance and high efficiency.
TMCV claims to lead India’s sustainable freight transition with a portfolio of alternative fuel vehicles (battery electric, CNG, LNG, hydrogen) and comprehensive after-sales support via Sampoorna Seva 2.0 and a network of over 3,200 service touchpoints.
Praveen Somani from Enviiiro Wheels Mobility highlighted the Prima E.55S as a step toward sustainable logistics, praising its performance, safety, and comfort.
TMCV, part of the Tata Group, is set to rename to Tata Motors Limited following a corporate restructuring, with plans to list equity shares on the Bombay and National Stock Exchanges.
