The sixth facility has opened in Pune and it has a capacity of 21,000 vehicles.

Tata Motors along with Tata International, the trading and distribution arm of Tata Group has launched a new registered vehicle scrapping facility in Pune, Maharashtra. Tata Motors’ recycling facility is called Re.Wi.Re - Recycle With Respect.

The Re.Wi.Re facility in Pune has the capacity to disassemble and scrap 21,000 end-of-life vehicles of any brand. Along with Pune, Tata Motors has five more Re.Wi.Re facilities in Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Surat, Chandigarh & Delhi NCR.

Girish Wagh, Executive Director, Tata Motors, said, “Tata Motors is at the forefront of shaping the future of mobility and focused on partnering customers to success by delivering values through its products, services, and digital solutions. Re.Wi.Re represents our commitment to creating a circular economy, leveraging advanced recycling processes that not only extract maximum value from end-of-life vehicles but also contribute to our nation's sustainability goals. Tata International has been our partner in several international markets, and we are delighted to strengthen this longstanding relationship by adding a new chapter with Re.Wi.Re.”

Tata Motors says each Re.Wi.Re facility is fully digitalised, resulting in seamless and paperless operations. It also says there is a facility for cell-type and line-type disassembly for commercial and passenger vehicles. Each vehicle goes through a thorough documentation and dismantling process.
