Harrier and Safari petrol, Sierra, Sierra EV and Punch facelift are due to be launched in India.
Tata Motors is gearing up for a big bang by the end of the year. It is gearing up to have multiple events between November 2025 and January 2026. This could mean one thing – Tata Motors will launch a bunch of new products before the end of the current financial year (FY26), i.e. March 2026.
The products that Tata Motors is planning to launch in India are the petrol versions of the Harrier and Safari, the Punch facelift, and the ICE and EV versions of the Sierra. All of these are well known to come to India by the end of FY26, but the exact order of the launch of these vehicles remains unclear.
Acko Drive spoke to a few dealers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru, and most of them did not have information about the timeline. However, a dealer source did mention that the Harrier, Safari petrol versions are likely to be launched around November, with bookings expected to begin in October. However, take this information with a pinch of salt until Tata Motors itself confirms this news.
The Harrier and Safari petrol have been long overdue. Both are expected to get a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol direct injection (TGDi), and it is likely to have 168 bhp and 280 Nm on offer. The petrol powertrain on offer will give the two SUVs more versatility and make them more appealing in markets like Delhi NCR, which only allow diesel vehicles to ply for up to 10 years. While that rule is on its way out, it’s not yet confirmed when it’ll be.
The Sierra is another big launch for Tata Motors, and the almost-ready-for-production model was showcased at the Auto Expo 2025. The launch is, again, right around the corner, and it will get both electric and ICE powertrains. The Sierra has been spotted testing multiple times, and it should be one of the cars being launched in November itself, ideally. While earlier, Tata Motors had the plan to launch the Sierra EV first, followed by the ICE, it remains to be seen whether the plan has changed.
The Punch facelift will be one of the final launches in this whole saga of events that Tata Motors has planned. The micro SUV is expected to have a similar design to the Punch EV, but with slight differences. While the Punch EV comes with a full-width LED light bar and a charging port at the front, the Punch facelift will replace those with a large grille. Powertrain-wise, not much is expected to change with the facelift.
