Tata Motors PV reported record FY2026 sales of 6,41,587 units, up 15%. Its FY2026 Q4 volumes rose 37%, while EV and CNG segments continued strong growth momentum. Tata secured no. 2 spot in wholesales and Vahan registrations in FY2026.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd delivered a record-breaking performance in FY26, with total sales rising to 6,41,587 units, up 15% from 5,56,263 units in FY25, marking its highest-ever annual volume.
March 2026 saw sales of 66,971 units, registering a strong 29% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 51,872 units in March 2025. On a month-on-month basis, volumes grew 6% over February 2026, when the company sold 63,331 units, indicating sustained demand through the quarter rather than a last-month spike.
February itself had recorded a 35% YoY increase, highlighting consistent momentum across the final quarter. The company also reported its highest-ever quarterly sales of 2,01,368 units in Q4 FY26, a 37% YoY increase over 1,46,999 units in the same period last year.
The sharp rise in exports, albeit on a lower base, was driven partly by the company’s re-entry into South Africa.
Electric vehicle sales continued to grow strongly, with Q4 volumes at 26,931 units, up 69% YoY. For the full year, EV sales reached 92,120 units, rising 43% over FY25, marking the company’s highest-ever EV volumes. CNG vehicles also played a key role, with FY26 sales crossing 1,70,000 units, up 24% YoY, reinforcing Tata’s multi-powertrain strategy.
Tata Motors is expected to sustain growth into FY27, supported by strong demand for models like Nexon and Punch, alongside new launches.
