The Tata Nexon EV 45 is the long-range version of the subcompact SUV. The model arrives with a single motor tuned to produce 142 bhp and 215 Nm of peak torque, and can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 8.9 seconds. The 45 variants essentially gets a 45 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 489 km (MIDC I+II). The Nexon EV 45 supports fast charging, and can be charged from 10-80 per cent in 40 minutes using a 60 kW DC fast charger. Meanwhile, a 7.2 kW AC home charger will take about 6 hours and 36 minutes to charge the electric SUV from 10-100 per cent.
On the feature front, the Tata Nexon EV 45 comes with all the essentials, including the 10.25-inch digital instrument console, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Type-C USB charging ports, an electric sunroof with voice command function, an air purifier, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and more. Tata offers a lifetime warranty on the battery pack.
The Tata Nexon EV catapulted the automaker’s electric ambitions, and has been super successful. The company achieved a milestone of over 100,000 sales of the Nexon EV in December last year, a testament to the e-SUV’s market acceptance. The Nexon EV takes on the MG Windsor EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.
