Tata Motors will thus be giving the benefits of GST reduction to its customers.
Tata Motors has announced it will reduce prices across its entire passenger vehicle range following the government's decision to lower GST rates on cars and SUVs. The price cuts will take effect from September 22, 2025, when the new GST rates kick in. The legacy automaker said it will pass on the full benefit of the tax reduction to customers, with potential savings of up to ₹1,55,000 depending on the model.
Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said, “In line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision, the Hon’ble Finance Minister’s intent and our Customer First philosophy, Tata Motors will fully honor the intent and spirit of this reform by passing on the entire benefit of the reduction in GST to our customers. This will make our popular range of cars and SUVs even more accessible across segments, enabling first-time buyers and accelerating the shift towards new age mobility for a wider spectrum of customers.”
The price reductions vary across Tata's model lineup. The Nexon SUV will see the largest potential reduction of up to ₹1,55,000, while the Safari will be reduced by up to ₹1,45,000. The Harrier SUV could be cheaper by up to ₹1,40,000, and the Altroz hatchback by up to ₹1,10,000.
Other models in the range will also see significant price cuts. The Tigor will be reduced by up to ₹80,000, the Tiago by up to ₹75,000, and the Punch by up to ₹85,000. The recently launched Curvv will see reductions of up to ₹65,000.
The company expects demand to increase during the upcoming festive season and has advised customers to book early for delivery during this period. We recommend that you confirm the exact pricing at authorised Tata Motors showrooms, as the reductions will vary depending on the specific model and trim level.
