Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Punch facelift on 13 January 2026. Ahead of its debut, the homegrown carmaker has revealed the facelifted Punch on its social media handles. The company has put out a teaser sharing glimpses of its exterior and interiors. This will be the first comprehensive update for the Punch since it was introduced in 2021.
As indicated in the previous teasers, the new Punch gets revised exterior styling. The front end gets an all-new fascia featuring a sleeker grille flanked by a vertically stacked headlamp cluster, similar to the setup seen on the Punch EV. The updated Punch features a revised LED DRL signature, highlighted by a contrasting black band, unlike the Punch EV which gets an illuminated panel. The bumper has also been revised, incorporating a larger lower air dam, more pronounced cladding, and a faux silver skid plate.

Changes along the side profile, if any, appear to be minuscule. The only noticeable change are the new alloy wheels. At the rear, the Punch facelift gets a new connected LED taillight setup with new detailing seen in the cluster. The bumper also seems to have been reworked slightly with new reflector strips and revised cladding.
The 2026 Tata Punch will borrow the same interior layout as the Tata Punch EV offering a dual-tone theme comprising a light blue-charcoal upholstery, along with a new dashboard with a white insert. Notable updates inside the cabin include a digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated brand logo, a rear centre armrest, and a new touch-based climate control panel.
Other features expected to make the cut in the upcoming Tata Punch facelift are an 8-speaker sound system, a 360-degree camera, height-adjustable driver seat, voice-enabled electric sunroof, wireless charger and USB-C fast charging ports.
It was recently revealed that the Tata Punch facelift will also be offered in a new iTurbo iteration, which will receive a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine from the Tata Atroz Racer and Nexon. In both these cars, this 1.2-litre turbo petrol mill churns out 118 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. We expect this engine to deliver the same output in the upcoming Punch iTurbo. This engine will be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox as suggested in the previous teaser.

Besides the turbocharged mill, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit will also be offered in the Punch facelift. This engine is tuned to deliver 86 bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and AMT. Tata will also offer a CNG version of the same with its twin-cylinder technology, which uses a detuned version of the motor tuned for 72 bhp and 103 Nm of torque.
