Tata Motors has launched the Punch facelift at an introductory starting price of ₹5.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata is offering the facelifted Punch in six trims namely Smart, Pure, Pure Plus, Adventure, Accomplished, and Accomplished Plus S. First launched in 2021, the new Tata Punch gets plenty of updates over the outgoing model. Here’s a look at what has changed in the new Tata Punch.

Tata Punch Old vs New: Exterior Styling

The exterior of the new Tata Punch undergoes an evolutionary update over its predecessor and more in line with the Punch.ev. Up front, the chunky headlamps have been replaced by vertically stacked LED units with integrated fog lamps, lending the SUV a more contemporary look. The micro SUV adopts a more squared-off stance compared to its EV counterpart, featuring a blacked-out enclosed grille flanked by newly designed angular LED daytime running lights.

The stance is further enhanced by the reworked faceted bull guard bumper that gets extensive cladding and a bold skid plate inspired by full sized off roaders. The side profile remains unchanged although the 16-inch alloy wheels get a new design. At the rear, the Tata Punch now receives a connected LED taillamps with a revised internal signature. The rear bumper has also been reprofiled and houses a trail guard skid plate.

As for colour options, Tata Motors is offering a total of six shades, out of which four including Caramel, Cyantafic, Bengal Rouge, and Coorg Clouds are new additions to the palette. The other two — Pristine White, and Daytona Grey have been carried over from the previous model.

Tata Punch Old vs New: Interiors

Inside the cabin, the new Punch facelift gets a new layout. For starters, the conventional steering wheel has been replaced by a new two-spoke unit, in line with Tata’s latest models. The central air-conditioning vents have been redesigned for a cleaner, more modern appearance, while the physical climate control switches have been substituted with Tata’s latest touch-sensitive control panel.

While the older model featured fabric upholstery with a tri-arrow pattern, the facelifted Punch adopts a refreshed dual-tone grey and blue interior theme. The SUV continues to offer adjustable headrests for the front and outer rear seats; however, a headrest for the rear centre passenger is still absent. The rear armrest still misses out on cup holders. The other interesting interior bit is an extended under-thigh support, adding to the overall comfort of both front and rear occupants.

Tata Punch Old vs New: Powertrain
