Tata Motors is all set to launch the Sierra in India in 2025, and ahead of that, the SUV has been spotted testing in India multiple times. It has again been spotted testing, revealing some key details of the Sierra.
Most importantly, the test mule of the Sierra indicates that it is the internal combustion engine (ICE) version of the SUV. It also shows that it is the base or a lower-level trim since it can be seen with steel wheels and plastic covers. However, it is difficult to make out further details about the Sierra since the car is still under heavy camouflage.
The Seirra ICE concept made its debut at the Auto Expo 2025, and even there, Tata Motors didn’t fully reveal the interior of the SUV. The Sierra will likely come with a large touchscreen, a large virtual cluster and possibly a screen for the front passenger. The latest test mule, just like previous ones, also has ADAS modules in the bumper and windshield, suggesting that lower variants could get this safety feature too.
Under the hood, the Sierra ICE will debut Tata Motors’ new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and most likely will also get the 2.0-litre diesel engine from the Harrier and Safari. The Sierra will also get an electric version, like we said earlier, but its details are still under wraps.
