In the market, the Sierra will compete with vehicles including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara and Victoris, and Toyota Hyryder.
It was just a couple of days ago that Tata Motors unveiled the 2025 Sierra, a five-seater SUV that will compete in the compact SUV segment. The company has confirmed that pricing information for the Sierra will be released on 25 November 2025. However, dealers have commenced bookings unofficially across the country. AckoDrive spoke to dealers in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and even New Delhi, and all the dealers had started taking bookings for the Sierra with a refundable booking amount ranging from ₹11,000-21,000.
While Tata Motors has been very cagey about the details, we got to see the car in the flesh. The new Sierra features an interior layout with three touchscreen displays, each measuring 12.3 inches. One screen serves as a fully digital instrument cluster for the driver, while the other two displays handle infotainment and passenger-side functions. The cabin includes a dual-tone colour scheme with black and grey surfaces and seating finished in beige and grey tones. The vehicle comes equipped with a panoramic sunroof that extends to the C-pillar.

The Sierra offers technology features including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone climate control, a 12-speaker JBL audio system with a SonicSoundbar, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and wireless phone charging. The vehicle also includes multi-colour ambient lighting and an auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror.
On safety, the Sierra comes with six airbags as standard equipment. The vehicle incorporates electronic stability control, ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. The ADAS functions include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection, autonomous emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The vehicle will be offered with multiple powertrain options – petrol, diesel and even an EV. The Sierra will be available in multiple variants, with pricing expected to range from ₹11 lakh to ₹20 lakh for the internal combustion engine versions. The electric version of the Sierra is expected to be positioned in the ₹20-25 lakh price bracket.
In the market, the Sierra will compete with vehicles including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara and Victoris, and Toyota Hyryder. The upcoming Renault Duster and a new Kia Seltos iteration will also be in the same segment.
