Tata Motors has revealed the updated versions of the Tiago and Tiago EV, confirming that both hatchbacks are set to launch on 28 May 2026. The facelifts introduce a thoroughly revised exterior design, giving both the internal combustion engine and electric variants a much sleeker appearance.
The most notable changes are at the front, where both models receive redesigned headlights featuring eyebrow shaped LED daytime running lamps and a new bumper that draws inspiration from the larger Altroz.

While the petrol model features a black grille with pixel shaped fog lamps, the electric version adopts a body coloured blanked off grille. The side profile remains similar but introduces new 15 inch alloy wheel designs and black wheel arches, while the rear features updated LED tail lights connected by a prominent chunky bar.
The photos of the interior have not yet been revealed. However, the manufacturer has confirmed the addition of a 360-degree camera system, a first for this segment. The updated dashboard is expected to house a 10.25-inch infotainment system and a more modern digital instrument cluster.

Under the bonnet, the petrol Tiago will retain its 1.2-litre engine producing 85 bhp, available with both manual and automated manual transmissions. The electric version currently offers battery options delivering up to 74 bhp, but it may receive slightly larger battery packs to improve its driving range, similar to recent updates seen in the Punch EV. To attract more buyers, the company might introduce a battery as a service ownership model for the EV as well.
