Tecno Pova 6 Pro Announced: 6000mAh Battery, 70W Charging Under Rs. 20K

Tecno has announced its Pova 6 Pro smartphone in India, promising premium specifications and a unique design. Its main features are a large 6000mAh battery plus support for 70W charging, and the company boasts that it is still slim and light, weighing 195g and fitting within a 7.9mm thick frame. The Tecno Pova 6 Pro also features an attention-grabbing design with customisable lighting effects. The device will be listed for sale on Amazon India starting from April 4.

The Tecno Pova 6 Pro is priced starting at Rs. 19,999 in India for the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. You can also choose to buy a 12GB RAM version with the same amount of storage for Rs. 21,999. As a launch offer, users can claim an instant discount of Rs. 2,000 on both variants if payment is made from any bank. The company is also throwing in a free Tecno S2 Bluetooth speaker which it says is worth Rs. 4,999. 

A unique photolithography process has been used to etch patterns on the rear panel, which Tecno says gives it a futuristic look. The company’s Arc lighting system is enabled by 210 mini-LED beads arranged near the camera module on the rear, and is customisable with over 100 effects, so it can respond to music, games, notifications, charge status, and more. Tecno’s promotional images show that the device will be available in Comet Green and Meteorite Grey. The IP53 rating indicates protection against water and dust exposure.

Other specifications include a 10-bit AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, though its exact size has not been confirmed yet. The Amazon listing shows an embedded front camera and an iOS-like Dynamic Island for notifications. The Tecno Pova 6 Pro also has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos wired and wireless Hi-Res Audio certification. 

The phone has a 108-megapixel primary rear camera with an f/1.89 aperture, a 2-megapixel “portrait” camera, an an unspecified “AI lens”. The front camera has a 32-megapixel resolution and there’s also a dual-tone front LED flash in the phone’s frame.

Detailed specifications, including the phone’s processor, have not been confirmed yet but it is expected to use the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 based on what the company has announced in other markets. It should also run Android 14.
