The Terra Kyoro+ electric three-wheeler arrives in India. The Japanese company targets 100 dealerships in the country by the end of 2025.
Terra Motors, a Japanese electric vehicle manufacturer, has launched its new Kyoro+ electric auto in India.
The launch event, attended by dignitaries including Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla, marked the addition of Kyoro+ to the company’s existing electric auto range, which includes Y4A, Rizin, and Pace.
The name Kyoro, derived from a Japanese term for alertness and swift movement, reflects the vehicle’s design focus.
The company aims to establish 100 dealerships across India and scale production to 5,000 units per month by the end of 2025. Terra Motors India, which has sold over 100,000 L3 units and holds a strong presence in East India, seeks to capture a share of the USD 1,174.1 million three-wheeler market.
The Kyoro+ offers a 200 km range on a single charge, accelerates from 0 to 28 km/h in 5.6 seconds, reaches a top speed of 55 km/h, and can handle 22% inclines when fully loaded. It includes spacious seating and a large luggage compartment.
To improve accessibility, Terra Motors will provide zero down payment financing through its Terra Finance arm. Customers can book the Kyoro+ via the company’s website or authorised dealerships.
Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Tokyo, Terra Motors operates production facilities in India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Japan, serving markets across South and Southeast Asia.
Since entering India in 2014, it has grown to over 400 dealers by 2024. The company also runs Terra Charge, aiming to install 2,000 EV charging points by 2026 to support India’s electric mobility ecosystem.
