Tesla currently operates three experience centres in India — Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram.
Tesla has taken another step in expanding its footprint in India by launching its first pop-up retail experience in Punjab. The temporary store has been set up at Pavilion Mall, Ludhiana where visitors can experience the Tesla Model Y up close for the first time in the state. The American EV maker had earlier organised a pop-up experience centre at Acko Drive in Bengaluru in January this year.
The Ludhiana pop-up is part of Tesla’s broader strategy to increase awareness of electric mobility in India and accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. The initiative complements the company’s existing experience centres in Gurugram, Mumbai and Delhi, which serve as key touchpoints for customers interested in Tesla vehicles and charging solutions.
The pop-up will run from March 6 to March 12, 2026, giving potential customers and EV enthusiasts an opportunity to explore Tesla’s technology, design philosophy and performance credentials. In addition to static displays, the event also offers guided walkarounds and test drive opportunities for interested buyers. Customers can book their test drive slots through Tesla’s India website, with sessions scheduled between 11 am and 8 pm during the event.

The showcase centres around the Model Y, which Tesla claims to be the world’s best-selling electric vehicle in 2023, 2024 and 2025. The electric crossover was launched in India last year in May at a starting price of ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
Performance figures underline its credentials. Depending on the variant, the Model Y can accelerate from 0–100 kmph in as little as 5.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 201 kmph. The Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive variant offers a WLTP-rated range of up to 661 km, while the standard Rear-Wheel Drive version delivers around 500 km of range.

Tesla’s fast-charging capability is another highlight. Using the company’s Supercharging network, the Model Y can add up to 267 km of driving range in just 15 minutes, enabling easier long-distance travel for EV users. In India, the Model Y Premium starts at ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Rear-Wheel Drive version, while the Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive variant is priced at ₹67.89 lakh.
To make ownership more accessible, Tesla is offering an exchange incentive of ₹3 lakh for customers switching from petrol or diesel vehicles. Financing options are also available, with indicative monthly instalments starting from ₹49,000 with a down payment of ₹6 lakh under a long-tenure loan plan.
The company also highlights the lower running costs of electric vehicles. According to Tesla’s estimates, drivers covering around 1,500 km per month could save up to ₹20,000 in fuel and maintenance expenses compared to conventional vehicles.
