Tesla has expanded its India charging network with a new Supercharger hub in Navi Mumbai. The network now spans five locations, offering up to 250 kW charging and faster top-ups for Model Y users.
Tesla has expanded its public fast-charging infrastructure in India with the addition of a new Supercharger hub in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The latest development takes the brand’s total Supercharger footprint in the country to five locations spread across three cities, with further expansion planned.
The newly operational charging station is located at Nexus Seawoods Mall and is equipped with a mix of AC and DC fast chargers. The facility features four AC chargers and four DC fast chargers, enabling simultaneous charging for up to eight electric vehicles.
With charging speeds of up to 250 kW, the Supercharger reduces charging times for Tesla customers. Drivers of the Tesla Model Y can add up to 275 km of range in just 15 minutes, making it particularly beneficial for long-distance travel and intercity commutes.
Tesla’s Supercharger network in India remains exclusive to its own vehicles, ensuring optimised compatibility and charging performance. The expansion aligns with the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its ecosystem ahead of scaling deliveries and ownership experience in the country.
The addition of Navi Mumbai further enhances Tesla’s presence in the Mumbai metropolitan region, a key market for premium EV adoption. The company has already indicated plans to expand its charging network across major urban centres, including Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru, to support its growing customer base.
Tesla has also opened a pop-up store at Nexus Seawoods in the main atrium, where visitors can explore its vehicles through guided walkarounds, test drives, and immersive product experiences. Customers can get a closer look at Tesla’s design philosophy, advanced EV technology, safety systems, and performance in an interactive setting.
As Tesla continues to build its infrastructure backbone, improved charging accessibility is expected to play a critical role in boosting EV adoption and enabling more seamless long-distance mobility for its users in India.
