Unleashes a Faster, More Furious Model 3 variant
Tesla has made its lineup interesting with the unveiling of the 2024 Model 3 Performance variant. This electric rocket has a monstrous dual-motor AWD powertrain for electrifying acceleration. It rockets from 0 to 100 in a blink of an eye.
The new dual-motor AWD powertrain cranks out a whopping 510 bhp, a significant leap from the previous model's 455 bhp. This translates to mind-blowing acceleration, with drivers blasting from 0-100 kmph in a scorching 2.9 seconds. But it's not just about straight-line speed. Tesla has also honed the car's handling with new adaptive dampers, larger brakes, and a lower stance, ensuring you can take corners with confidence. To top it all off, the increased top speed of 262 kmph (163 mph) lets you experience the thrill of electric power on open roads.
The 2024 Model 3 Performance isn't just about raw power; it has a host of new features designed to elevate the driving experience. Track Mode 3.0 allows drivers to unleash the car's full potential on the racetrack, optimizing performance for precision handling.
Inside the cabin, luxury meets performance with heated and ventilated sport seats that hug you during sharp turns, while carbon fiber accents add a touch of sophistication. Rear passengers are no longer left out of the fun, with an all-new 8-inch touchscreen offering individual climate control and entertainment options. To top it all off, improved noise reduction technology ensures a serene and comfortable ride, even at high speeds.
This powerhouse doesn't sacrifice efficiency for speed. Tesla claims a 2% reduction in energy consumption compared to the previous model, and with the Long Range battery, drivers can expect an estimated range of 476 km.
With a starting price of $54,630 (₹ 45.5 Lakh approx), the 2024 Model 3 Performance strikes a competitive balance between performance and affordability. This strategic pricing positions it squarely against other high-performance electric vehicles like the BMW i4 M50 and Hyundai IONIQ 5 N, offering a compelling option for drivers seeking a thrilling electric driving experience without breaking the bank.
Interestingly, despite its impressive power gains, Tesla has opted not to bestow the "Plaid" designation on this Model 3 variant. The "Plaid" badge remains exclusive to Tesla's top-tier performance offerings like the Model S and Model X, suggesting there might be even more powerful electric beasts on the horizon from the automaker.
