In 2024, a number of popular cars received a facelift and a much-deserved one too. And this time, cars not only got new styling, but also gained new features and refreshed powertrains. We take a look at the top five facelifts launched in India this year.
Launch: January 16, 2024
Price: ₹11 - 20.45 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
The Creta has been an extremely popular car for Hyundai India and earlier this year it received a massive facelift, taking its popularity up a notch. With the facelift, the Creta gets new L-shaped LED DRLs and taillamps, new alloy wheel design, a refreshed grille and a revamped interior. The Creta gets a panoramic sunroof, dual 10.25-inch screens, 360-degree camera and ADAS. It also got a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to either a 6-speed manual (N Line only) or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Launch: October 4, 2024
Price: ₹5.99 - 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
For long, the Magnite was the only model sold by Nissan in India and it has sold in decent numbers, with more than 1.5 lakh units sold since it was launched in 2020. The facelift has only improved the styling of the Magnite with it getting a bolder grille and revised headlamp and taillamp design. It continues with the same 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and turbo-petrol engine options mated to either a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed AMT or a CVT.

Price: ₹26.90 - 29.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
The eMAX 7 is essentially an extensive facelift of the e6 MPV that BYD started its India innings with. The eMAX 7 now comes with a third row of seats, two options for the second row, two battery pack options, a larger touchscreen, more features and ADAS. The eMAX 7 can be had with either a 55.6 kWh battery or a 71.8 kWh battery with a claimed range of up to 420 km with the former and up to 530 km with the latter.
Launch: April 29, 2024
Price: ₹7.79 - 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
The XUV 300 was Mahindra’s contender in the highly competitive subcompact SUV space and to give it a fair fight, Mahindra upgraded it with the XUV 3XO. Along with a new name, it also gets brand new styling and lots of new features like a panoramic sunroof, dual 10.25-inch screens and ADAS. It continues with the same engine options as before the turbo-petrol engines now get a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Launch: January 11, 2024
Price: ₹8 - 15.77 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
Lately the Sonet has been Kia India’s bestselling model. Initially launched in 2020, the Sonet received a much deserved facelift earlier this year. Of course the facelift brought about styling updates, but it also gave the Sonet level 1 ADAS, making it one of the first subcompact SUV to get this safety features. Engine options continued as before with the option of a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
