The Toyota Innova Hycross is the latest car to get a 5-star rating for adult and child occupant protection in the latest round of crash tests by Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP). The Hycross is the first Toyota model and the first MPV to have its crash test results declared by BNCAP.
The crash test ratings for the Innova Hycross apply to all variants of the MPV, while BNCAP tested the GX 8-seater variant of the petrol Hycross as well as the VX 8-seater and ZX 7-seater variants of the hybrid Hycross.
