Toyota Motor's Indian subsidiary has announced plans to establish a global BizIntel Hub at KWIN City, the Karnataka government's urban development project located between Dabaspete and Doddaballapura, with an initial investment of ₹1,200 crore over five years. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) and the state government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Bengaluru, in the presence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Large and Medium Industries Minister MB Patil, according to a statement from the industries department.

KWIN City is being developed in phases across 5,800 acres, with Phase 1 already under way. The overall project is projected to attract investments of ₹48,000 crore and generate close to 100,000 jobs.
“We are grateful to the government of Karnataka for its continued support and collaboration over the years which has played a key role in our journey. India has always been a strategically important market for Toyota to drive innovation and sustainable mobility initiatives. The TKM Bizintel Hub will support testing and evaluation activities, advancements in digital transformation and intelligent manufacturing across the entire supply chain business, leveraging on India’s robust information technology ecosystem with skilled talent," Masakazu Yoshimura, Chairman, MD & CEO, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said in a statement.
The signing ceremony was attended by Industries Commissioner Khushboo Goel, Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board Chief Executive Govind Reddy, Toyota Chief Technical Officer Yoshinori Noritake, and other senior company representatives.
“Toyota Kirloskar Motor has been a trusted long-term partner in Karnataka’s growth journey. The MoU marks another important milestone as we work together to deepen technology-led investments, create quality employment and promote sustainable industrial development," said Siddaramaiah, Chief Minister, Karnataka.
Earlier this month, TKM announced its third manufacturing plant in India. This facility will be located in the Bidkin Industrial Area, near Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra, and is set to be operational in the first half of 2029, the company had said.
Toyota also confirmed it will be rolling out a new SUV from the new facility. The announcement came days after the Japanese carmaker denied reports of commissioning a new manufacturing plant in Maharashtra.
