Toyota Kirloskar Motor recorded 32,086 sales in April 2026, marking 17% growth. Strong domestic demand and the Innova Hycross hitting 2 lakh sales helped offset a decline in exports.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced a significant surge in its sales performance for April 2026, recording a total of 32,086 units. This figure represents a 17% year on year growth compared to the 27,329 units sold during the same month in 2025.

The company’s performance was largely underpinned by a robust appetite in the domestic market, which helped offset a slight decline in international shipments.

In the domestic sector, Toyota saw a 21% increase, with sales rising to 30,159 units from the 24,833 units recorded in April of the previous year. A major catalyst for this momentum was the Innova Hycross, which recently achieved a cumulative sales milestone of 2 lakh units. This achievement highlights the increasing consumer preference for hybrid technology in the Indian market.

While domestic demand remained high, the company reported a dip in exports. Export volumes fell to 1,927 units, marking a 23% decrease from the 2,496 units exported in the same period last year. Despite this contraction, the overall growth trajectory for the company remains positive.

For the calendar year period spanning January to April 2026, Toyota maintained a steady upward trend. Total sales reached 1,37,194 units, a 19% rise over the 1,15,157 units sold during the first four months of 2025. Domestic sales for this period grew by 20%, reaching 1,26,651 units.

Company officials stated that the results reflect a disciplined execution and a focus on product excellence. With sustained demand for its hybrid line up and a growing customer base, the manufacturer continues to strengthen its foothold in the competitive Indian automotive landscape.
