The Rumion marks the fifth collaborative model between Toyota and Maruti Suzuki.

The Toyota Rumion is set to arrive in India by the end of August 2023. According to online reports, Toyota will commence bookings for the Rumoin within this month and will begin deliveries by the end of September. It is estimated that the Rumion will cost around Rs 20,000 more than the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.

The Rumion marks the fifth collaborative model between Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. Toyota's MPV lineup is now the most extensive in the market, encompassing the entry-level Rumion, followed by the premium Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross, and the Vellfire. Once launched, the Rumion will compete against the Kia Carens, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Maruti Suzuki XL6.

Furthermore, the Toyota Rumion is exported to markets such as South Africa, where it retains the same specifications as the domestic version. The Rumion's exterior features minor alterations to its plastic components compared to the Ertiga. The vehicle's equipment list remains unchanged as well, and it maintains a 7-seater layout akin to the Ertiga.

Powering the Toyota Rumion is the familiar 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine sourced from Maruti. This engine generates 103 bhp and 137 Nm of torque. It comes with the option of a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. To know more about the Rumion, don’t forget to head over to our unveil story.
