Both bikes have remained unchanged, though.
Starting August 1, Triumph India has silently hiked the asking price of both the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X. The Triumph Speed 400 now starts from ₹2.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is ₹4,000 more from the ₹2.46 lakh it was priced before. The Triumph Scrambler 400 X now costs ₹2,67,731 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is a mere ₹1,731 more than before.
Despite these price hikes, Triumph has not made any changes to either of the bikes. The Triumph Scrambler 400 X gained the new “Volcanic Red and Phantom Black” colour option earlier this year. Apart from that, the bikes have remained the same since their debut. Both bikes continue to be powered by the same 398.15 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm, sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.
The new Triumph Thruxton 400 has just been launched. The newest member of the 400 cc family aims to be the sportiest one of them all. An up close look of the cafe racer coming soon on our YouTube channel but until then, here are all of the details of the small Thruxton.
