Both models see a minimal bump keeping the competitive edge on its rivals.
Triumph has announced a price increase for its popular Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X motorcycles since their launch nine months ago. Both models will see a price bump of ₹1,500.
This price revision brings the new on-road ex-showroom prices to:
Triumph Speed 400: ₹2,34,497
Triumph Scrambler 400 X: ₹2,64,496
While neither Bajaj nor Triumph has officially commented on the specific reason for the price hike, we think it's likely to counter the rising inflation and production costs impacting manufacturers across various sectors.
Despite the price adjustment, both the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X maintain a competitive edge within their respective segments. Both the bikes are powered by a 398.15cc liquid cooled engine making 40 bhp and 37 Nm of torque.
The Triumph Speed 400 initially caused a stir in the market with its aggressive pricing strategy. Launched at ₹2.33 lakh, it offered a special introductory price of ₹2.23 lakh for the first 10,000 bookings, setting a new benchmark for affordability in its category.
The Triumph Scrambler 400 X, following a few months later, entered the market at ₹2,62,996. While its pricing didn't generate the same level of excitement as its sibling, it still undercut major competitors offering excellent value for its features.
This price increase remains a modest adjustment for these motorcycles. Both the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X continue to provide compelling value propositions for riders seeking a combination of performance, style, and brand prestige.
