From more power to updated styling, both the variants of the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 have received significant updates.
Triumph has announced significant updates to its Speed Twin 1200 lineup for 2025, including the introduction of a new, more performance-oriented RS model. Both motorcycles are set to arrive in dealerships worldwide in December 2024.
Mechanical Updates
Mechanically, the 1200 cc, parallel-twin engine has also been updated with a power boost, wherein peak power increased by 4.93 bhp. It now puts out 103.5 bhp at 7750rpm, while torque has remained the same 112 Nm. New technology additions include optimised cornering ABS and traction control, which have been integrated to improve safety and performance.
Styling Updates
The styling has been refreshed to blend contemporary sporty features with classic design elements, showcasing Triumph's attention to detail and build quality. Both the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 and Speed Twin 1200 RS feature updated styling elements, including a more sculpted fuel tank, simplified side panels, and new minimal throttle body covers. The headlight is now an LED unit with a new DRL signature, and the bikes sport new cast aluminum wheels with a sporty turbine pattern.
Chassis Upgrades
The updated Speed Twin 1200 features several chassis improvements, including new Marzocchi fork and twin rear suspension units. While the Speed Twin 1200 RS model offers additional performance-focused features. It boasts a sportier ergonomic setup with repositioned handlebars and rear-set footpegs. The RS is equipped with fully adjustable Marzocchi forks, Öhlins rear suspension units, and Brembo Stylema brake calipers. Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres come as standard, and the bike also debuts Triumph Shift Assist (quickshifter) to the modern classic range.
Features Update
Technologically, both bikes now include Road and Rain riding modes, with the RS adding a Sport mode. A new LCD-cum-TFT display have been integrated into a classic circular dial, enabling turn-by-turn navigation and phone connectivity features as well. This is the same screen as the Trident 660.
Aesthetic Updates
The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 will be available in Crystal White, Carnival Red, and Aluminium Silver colour schemes. The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS is available with two options, namely, Baja Orange and Sapphire Black, both featuring gold RS decals.
