Aside from its exclusive aesthetic treatment, this is mechanically the same as the stock Apache RTR 160 2V.
Barely a few weeks after the debut of the TVS Apache RTR 160 ‘Blaze Of Black’ Edition, the Chennai-based manufacturer has launched the new Racing Edition for the same. Inspired by its rich heritage of racing, the new TVS Apache RTR 160 2V Racing Edition debuts a new exclusive Matt Black Colour scheme, with carbon-fibre race-inspired graphics, along with striking red alloy wheels. To further separate it from the standard Apache RTR 160 2V, there’s also an exclusive ‘Racing Edition’ badge on the tank of the brand’s sporty 160 cc offering.
All of this exclusive treatment quite naturally attracts premium pricing. And yet at ₹1.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new TVS Apache RTR 160 2V Racing Edition is just ₹2,000 more expensive than the top standard colour variant of the Apache RTR 160 2V.

Beyond the exclusive aesthetic treatment, the new TVS Apache RTR 160 2V is mechanically identical to the top variant with the same set of features. It continues to be powered by the 159.7 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with the same 15.82 bhp and 13.85 Nm tune. To extrapolate the full spectrum of this performance, the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V is also available with three ride modes – Sport, Urban and Rain – and the output figure above is in the Sport mode.
Bookings for the new TVS Apache RTR 160 2V have already commenced across all TVS showrooms in India. And given that the bike is just aesthetically different with no new technology at all, deliveries for the same should also commence soon.
