The year may be ending, but there are quite a few interesting launches in the pipeline in December.
2024 is almost over but the launches for the year aren’t. While December may not have a lot of new cars or facelifts being launched, it does have new nameplates coming to the market, as well as new generations of popular models.

The Amaze has been a popular car for Honda in India, followed by the City but recent sales numbers have been on a decline. To change that, Honda is launching the third generation of the Amaze, which will give a tough fight to the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The new Amaze is likely to have the same 1.2-litre petrol engine as before and it is expected to come with ADAS, making it the first subcompact sedan in India to get this safety feature.
Expected price: ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
Launch: December 11, 2024
The Camry is a beloved model in India and it has been available in our markets for a long time. The Camry, now in its 9th generation, is coming to India a year after its global debut. The Camry will be a competitor to the Skoda Superb in a dwindling luxury sedan market. Toyota’s new flagship sedan will get a 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain. Globally, the Camry gets front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive layout but it remains to be seen which version will come to India.
Expected price: ₹9 - 14 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
Unveil: December 19, 2024
Kia’s second subcompact SUV, the Syros, will make its global debut in India. While there is no confirmation about the price announcement, there is a high chance it could happen during the global unveiling or Kia will just divulge the starting price of the Syros. The Syros will slot between Sonet and Seltos in the brand’s lineup and will be a more premium offering compared to the Sonet. It is likely to come with the same powertrain options as the Sonet.
