The first of three, the MPV, will launch in the first quarter of 2026.
It’s not news that Nissan India will be launching three new models in India within the next two years, but it has now given a few more details about three upcoming cars. Two will be SUVs, while one will be an MPV.
The first of the three will be the MPV, and it will launch in the first quarter of 2026, between January and March 2026. The second will be a 5-seater compact SUV, which will come in the middle of 2026, while its seven-seater derivative will arrive by early 2027.
The MPV will be a derivative of the Renault Triber, but Nissan hasn’t divulged a lot about this MPV yet. The overall design will be shared with its Renault counterpart, but it will use Nissan's design language. Expect the Nissan MPV to have a more muscular design compared to the Triber, as it will get a bigger grille and chunkier bumper elements.

The 5-seater compact SUV will be derived from the upcoming Renault Duster, while the 7-seater will be based on the Renault Bigster. Both will have a significantly different design from their Renault counterparts. Both are expected to borrow design cues, especially at the front, from the Nissan Patrol, keeping them in line with other global Nissan SUVs. Again, no powertrain details have been revealed.
All three models are expected to be built at the soon-to-be-ex RNAIPL (Renault Nissan Alliance India Private Limited) plant based in Chennai. While the plant will be managed solely by Renault after a few months, it will still continue to manufacture Nissan vehicles, including these three models, the Magnite and the export-only Sunny.
