Here’s the list of new motorcycles and scooters heading our way in July.
As the monsoons lash the Indian subcontinent in July a wave of new two-wheelers are entering the Indian two-wheeler scene. From upgraded electric scooters to performance scooters and even a long-forgotten bike getting a new lease of life, July promises to be busy and exciting. Here is the list of two-wheelers which will make their debut in July, 2025.
1. Vida V2
While the Vida V1 helped Hero MotoCorp establish itself in the EV market, it hasn’t been able to make a definite mark. Legacy players like Bajaj Auto and TVS continue to dominate the electric two-wheeler segment and Hero has plans to change the landscape with the Vida V2. The new electric scooter from Hero will make its debut on July 1 and will be based on the Vida Z concept scooter showcase at the 2024 EICMA motorcycle show in Italy.
The new electric scooter will undergo cosmetic updates to make it look distinct, and it is expected to be offered with Battery-As-A-Service subscription mode and will continue to feature removable battery packs. The base variant of the Vida V2 might miss out on some features to keep the cost in check as reports suggest that Hero is targeting a price tag of around 1 lakh (ex-showroom).
2 Aprilia SR 175 & SR 125
Continuing the scooter trend are the Aprilia duo. Yes, Aprilia scooters are still on sale, although they are a rarer sighting than a solar eclipse. The Italian brand has upgraded the SR 160 and will be launching the new Aprilia SR 175 in July. While the launch is slated in mid-July, Acko Drive has got exclusive details of the Italian scooter, including the pricing. The new SR 175 will retail for ₹1.26 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), which is ₹6,000 cheaper than its predecessor. Apart from a larger 174 cc, air-cooled engine the new Aprilia scooter also gets a TFT instrument cluster with connected features. On the sidelines, Aprilia has also upgraded the new SR 125 to comply with the new emission standards. The 2025 Aprilia SR 125 is priced at ₹1.20 lakh and it competes against the TVS Ntorq 125 and the Hero Xoom 125R.
3 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z
The most powerful Pulsar yet, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z will also be updated for 2025. The new 2025 version of the Pulsar NS400Z is expected to go on sale by the second week of July and it will receive both mechanical and hardware upgrades. The 373 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine has been tuned to now produce 42.4 bhp, up by a significant 3hp and this should improve the Pulsar of the flagship Pulsar even more. The other jey update will be the inclusion of a bi-directional quickshifter, making the 2025 Pulsar NS400Z, the first Bajaj bike to get this feature.
Upping the performance fun ante of the bike, it will also get a new pair of shoes in the form of Apollo Alpha H1 tyres, which as we have experienced are significantly better than the MRF tyres. For better stopping power, the new bike gets sintered brake pads as opposed to the organic units as seen on the older bike. All these upgrades will come at a price and we expect the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z to be priced around ₹1.90-1.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
4. Updated KTM 390 ADV X
You might be wondering, KTM recently launched the 390 Adventure X and now why will it launch a new version of the same? The simple answer is lack of sales. In fact, just like the Aprilia SR 175, the updated KTM 390 Adventure has already reached a few dealerships and we expect the launch of the bike in the first week of July. The big update on the 390 Adventure X Plus is the inclusion of three ride modes and cruise control, to help in improving the touring capability of the bike.
Other notable additions are cornering ABS and traction control, which will further improve the safety aspect of the motorcycle. With these new updates, the main difference between the new bike and the KTM 390 Adventure S are larger spoke wheels and adjustable suspension. The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X is expected to carry a premium of around ₹15,000 over the older version of the ADV X.
5. 2025 Husqvarna Silverpilen 401
If you thought the Aprilia SR 160 was rare, then the Husqvarna Silverpilen 401 is the Halley's Comet of the two-wheeler space. Yes, the Husky is getting a much needed update, which many motoring scribes have been talking about ever since the first Husqvarna made its debut a few years back. The Swedish bike will be finally made available with alloy wheels and the updated version of the Husqvarna Silverpilen 401 is likely to go on sale by mid-July.
The new alloy wheels mean that riders wouldn’t have to worry about punctures as fixing tube punctures is becoming very difficult, especially in urban areas. Apart from this, the 2025 Husqvarna Silverpilen 401 might also get few new features and new colour options to distinguish the updated version. The new bike will be powered by the KTM-sourced LC4c 399 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill as seen on the older bike, that produces 42.9 bhp and 39 Nm
