This will be the first major update for the bike since its launch.
A few days back we had exclusively spotted the test mule of the upcoming Yezdi Roadster being tested in real world conditions. And now we have come across the first teaser from the brand showcasing a part of the new LED headlight, as we inch closer to its launch date, that is on August 12. While the teaser does not reveal much, the test mule that we spotted earlier revealed quite a few important details.
For starters, the tail section of the Roadster looked redesigned wherein the rear mudguard finishes slightly higher, giving it a muscular, butch appeal. Meanwhile, the turn indicators will double up as its tail light too. However, the iconic twin-exhaust setup will continue from before. The rest of the hardware is expected to remain the same, wherein it will continue to sport telescopic fork and dual-shock absorber, and will run on 18-/17-inch alloy wheels. However, we think that a retuning is in order so as to make the ride now supple and yet confidence-inspiring.
Mechanically, it is highly likely that the Yezdi Roadster will be powered by the revised Alpha 2 334 cc engine with the same gear-based mapping. This mill produces 29.6 bhp and 29.9 Nm in the Yezdi Adventure bike, which we expect to be tuned differently on the Roadster for a more relaxed ride. To know how much better the Yezdi Adventure got with the engine updates, check out our first ride review below:
So stay tuned to this space, for we’ll have a lot to talk about when Yezdi officially reveals the bike next week.
