VinFast VF6, VF7 India Launch On September 6

Bookings for the VF6, VF7 have already begun, and they will be assembled at VinFast’s plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.

VinFast has finally announced the launch date for the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in India. Both will be launched in India on September 6. The Vietnamese automaker showcased these two products at the 2025 Auto Expo. 

Bookings for the VinFast VF6 and VF7 commenced on July 15 and will be assembled at the firm’s plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. Deliveries for both vehicles should commence post the launch, while production has already begun. 

VinFast is establishing a strong presence in India through partnerships with 13 prominent dealer groups, launching 32 dealerships across 27 cities. These dealerships will operate on a 3S model (Sales, Service, and Spares) to ensure a comprehensive sales and after-sales network. Additionally, VinFast is collaborating with myTVS, RoadGrid, and Global Assure to develop a nationwide charging infrastructure.

VinFast VF6

  • Front-wheel-drive: 201 bhp, 310 Nm, 450 km range
  • Higher variant: 348 bhp, 500 Nm, 431 km range
