Vinfast Records 3,520 Vehicle Orders in Single Day in Vietnam

Vietnamese EV maker Vinfast has achieved a major milestone, processing 3,520 vehicle orders in a single day in its home market on 28 March 2026. The company says this marks a new record for daily order processing in Vietnam and highlights both its operational capacity and the rising demand for electric mobility.

The scale of the achievement becomes clearer when broken down: the company processed an average of 146 orders per hour, or roughly 2.4 orders every minute. According to VinFast, all vehicles included in this tally have already been processed and are ready for dispatch to dealerships before final delivery to customers.

The development has sparked discussions across online communities, with many observers pointing to the company’s execution speed. Some users described the feat as an indication of robust production and operational systems, especially given that it was achieved over a weekend.

Others linked the surge in demand to broader market trends. Rising fuel price volatility and increasing environmental awareness are encouraging more consumers to consider electric vehicles. For many buyers, EVs are becoming a practical alternative due to lower dependence on traditional fuels and reduced emissions.

Vinfast Recent Milestones

VinFast’s latest milestone builds on a series of strong performances over the past two years. Since 2024, the company has held the top position in Vietnam’s automotive market. In 2025, it delivered 175,099 vehicles, further reinforcing its leadership. The company also set a monthly sales record in December 2025, selling 27,649 vehicles in a single month. This figure, notably, is comparable to the annual sales volumes of some automakers operating in the region.

Charging infrastructure, ecosystem play key role

Industry observers attribute VinFast’s growth to its investment in a comprehensive electric mobility ecosystem. The company, along with its charging infrastructure partner, has planned around 150,000 charging ports across Vietnam’s provinces and cities. In addition, VinFast is preparing to roll out 99 ultra-fast charging hubs equipped with 150 kW chargers along major highways. This is complemented by a network of more than 400 service workshops, aimed at ensuring a smoother ownership experience for customers.

Vinfast in India

Vinfast set its foot in India last year with the launch of two electric SUVs — VF6 and VF7 — with prices starting at ₹17.29 lakh and ₹19.19 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively. The company sold 1,000 units in the first 4 months since it began sales in India in September last year. It was the fifth-largest EV brand at the end of last year.
