With the X Fold3 Pro, Vivo wants to heat up the foldable smartphone race in India.
Vivo has officially entered the foldable phone segment with the launch of its first-ever foldable smartphone - the Vivo X Fold3 Pro in India. With the X Fold3 Pro, Vivo wants to heat up the foldable smartphone race in India, going up against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and OnePlus Open, to name a few.
The X Fold3 Pro shares an overall design similar to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series. It has a wraparound carbon fibre frame housing two AMOLED displays that fold inward like a book. It measures 5.2mm when unfolded and 11.2mm when folded.
The inner display measures 8.03 inches diagonally, has a resolution of 2480x2200 pixels and has a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Made using Samsung's ultra-thin E7 material, this expansive inner screen can reach up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
When folded, there is a 6.53-inch AMOLED panel with a 2K+ (1172x2748 pixels) resolution and the same 120Hz refresh rate. Both displays are HDR10+ and Dolby Vision certified for vivid colours and contrast.
Under the hood, the X Fold3 Pro uses Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of blazing-fast UFS 4.0 storage. Software-wise, it runs on Vivo's Funtouch OS 14, which is based on Android 14.
On the imaging front, Vivo has equipped the X Fold3 Pro with a 50MP primary camera, 64MP telephoto, and 50MP ultra-wide cameras. The X Fold3 Pro also has a custom V3 imaging chip that helps with features such as 4K cinematic portrait video and more. Both sides of the foldable feature 32MP selfie cameras. The X Fold 3 Pro has a large 5,700mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.
The Vivo X Fold3 Pro is priced at Rs 1,59,999 in India. It will be available with major online and offline retailers starting June 13. The pre-bookings for the X Fold3 Pro are underway.
