The VLF Mobster is slated to be the first and only scooter in India to feature a dashcam as standard.
Kolhapur-based Motohaus – the same company that retails Brixton Motorcycles in India, has confirmed that the VLF Mobster will launch on September 25 via a teaser. This will be the second VLF offering in the country after the VLF Tennis 1500W e-scooter, and unlike the latter it will be an ICE scooter.
In European markets, the VLF Mobster is available with the choice of two engines – 125 cc and 180 cc, but we are yet to ascertain as to which mill Motohaus will be bringing to India. The 125 cc engine produces 11.83 bhp/ 11.7 Nm, while the 180 cc mill produces 17.75 bhp and 15.7 Nm.
But performance aside, the upcoming VLF Mobster will be an exquisite-looking scooter in India. That front apron looks quite aggressive, and further upping its premium quotient is that BMW S 1000 RR-ish headlight design. The rear apron design with exposed hardware and vents just reinstates the fact that the VLF Mobster means business. As for its hardware, the Mobster sports telescopic fork and dual-shock absorbers, while it rides on 12-inch wheels wrapped by chunky tyres.

But besides being a proper looker, the VLF Mobster will be quite the feature-rich offering. In fact, the VLF Mobster will be the first scooter in India to come equipped with a dashcam – which is already offered as standard in European markets. Other key highlights of the VLF Mobster will include its 5-inch TFT display that supports smartphone connectivity and also mobile screen mirroring. On top of that, it will also get call/SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation and music playback functionalities.
We expect Motohaus to price the VLF Mobster aggressively which in turn will pose a viable threat to the likes of the TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Avenis 125, Yamaha Aerox 155, and even the Aprilia SR 125 and SXR 125. So all that remains to be seen is how popular it gets.
