Volkswagen Taigun, Virtus Sound Edition Launched

Volkswagen has launched the Sound Edition for its Taigun and Virtus. It is solely available in one trim– the 1.0 TSI Topline – and comes with a choice of four colour options. Prices for the Sound Edition of the two Volkswagen models range between ₹15.51 lakh - 17.90 lakh. 

Volkswagen Sound Edition: What’s New?

The new Sound Editions of the Taigun and Virtus get power-adjustable front seats, puddle lamps and ambient lighting in the footwells. Visually, they also get ‘Sound’ badges on the tweeters in the A-pillar and on the B-pillar outside, along with music equaliser-like graphics on the C-pillar. 

However, the biggest update to the Sound Edition is the addition of a subwoofer, amplifier and a specifically-tuned audio system. Volkswagen says all of this helps offer an ‘enhanced audio experience’. Other features on the two Sound Edition models remain unchanged from the standard Taigun and Virtus.

The Taigun and Virtus Sound Editions are available in Lava Blue, Carbon Steel Grey, Wild Cherry Red and Rising Blue colour options. The Taigun also gets the option of contrast roof and ORVMs finished in White. 

Volkswagen Sound Edition Powertrain 

Mechanically, the Sound Edition models of the Taigun and Virtus remain unchanged. Both come with the 114 bhp, 178 Nm, 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
