Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G Set for January 2024 Launch in India

Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G in India in January 2024, following the release of the Redmi 13C and Redmi 13C 5G. This new model, part of the Redmi Note 13 series, has already been introduced globally in China and is distinguished by its MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, like its predecessor the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, is equipped with a 200-megapixel camera system. Xiaomi India's teaser suggests a January 2024 launch, likely in the first week, with various models expected to cater to different price points.

The Redmi Note 13 series includes the Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and Note 13 Pro+ 5G. There are rumours of a 4G-only variant of the Redmi Note 13 Pro, though it may not be released in India. These models are anticipated to appear on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database prior to launch.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 12-bit panel, capable of reaching a peak brightness of 1800 nits. It also offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with Dolby Vision support.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor and a Mali G-610 MC4 GPU, the device will offer up to 16GB LPDDR RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The software includes MIUI 14, based on Android 14, indicating that Xiaomi's HyperOS might be introduced with the Xiaomi 14 series in India.

The camera setup includes a primary Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor with optical stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens, along with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 water and dust resistance, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is expected to be priced competitively, around the ₹30,000 mark.
