The maxi scooter, sadly, was only updated for the Japanese market.
Yamaha has introduced the 2025 iteration of its maxi scooter, the X Force, featuring minor updates and new colours. The X Force, which first debuted in 2022, continues to be powered by the same 155 cc liquid-cooled engine found in the R15 V4 and the Aerox 155 sold in India.
The 2025 X Force maintains its maxi-scooter design, characterised by a prominent split headlight and bulbous fascia. However, Yamaha has slightly modified the rear section, to reportedly improve protection from water spraying back onto the scooter during rainy conditions. This change has resulted in a 25 mm increase in the scooter's overall length.
Along with that, Yamaha also introduced new colours with the 2025 X-Force called Matte Dark Blueish Grey Metallic 4, Matte Yellowish Grey Solid, Blueish White Pearl, and Black Metallic Pearl X.
Key features of the X Force include disc brakes on both wheels with ABS, petal-type discs for better heat dissipation, and 4-step adjustable twin rear shocks. The scooter offers a spacious 23.2-litre under-seat storage space with a USB charging port. A 5.1-inch LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity is another noteworthy standard feature.
Yamaha has not changed the engine though, and the X Force's 155 cc engine continues to produce 14.7 bhp and 14 Nm, same as the Aerox 155. However, unlike the latter, the X Force rides on 13-inch wheels, which results in lower ground clearance of 125 mm, compared to the Aerox 155's 145 mm.
Currently popular in Southeast Asian markets, the 2025 Yamaha X Force has been launched at 4,07,000 Japanese Yen (approximately ₹2.36 lakh). The chances of it launching in India are very low, however, Yamaha Motor Chairman Eishin Chihana had earlier hinted at the possibility of launching the NMax 155 in India. And recently, as part of the “The Call of The Blue 4.0” campaign (which you can check below), the maxi-scooter was teased, alongside the MT-09, Tenere 700, R7 and much more. So, does that mean these bikes will launch in India? Only time will reveal.
