The Astor comes with two petrol engine options - a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine. It comes with a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission option.

Engine and Transmission

MG Astor Engine CC (Capacity)

The MG Astor comes with two petrol engine options. The 1.5-litre engine is a four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol unit which produces 108.4bhp of maximum power at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 144Nm at 4,600rpm. The other engine is a 1.3-litre multi-point fuel-injected turbocharged three-cylinder petrol mill rated at 138bhp and 220Nm. It uses dual variable valve timing for optimised performance.

MG Astor Transmission

The 1.5-litre engine comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT automatic gearbox. The 1.3-litre turbocharged mill gets a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic torque converter transmission with manual mode and paddle shifters.

MG Astor Performance

The 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine delivers quicker acceleration. The 6-speed automatic variant sprints from 0-100 km/h in just under 10 seconds. The CVT automatic with a 1.5-litre engine offers smooth drivability for city commutes and light loads.
