Exterior and Styling

The refreshed MG Hector gets a redesigned front fascia with a new prominent diamond-mesh grille framed in piano black and chrome. The headlamps retain their positioning but now feature blacked-out housing. The front bumper has a restyled air dam with chrome edging instead of brushed silver. 

At the rear, subtle updates include a smaller tailgate logo and slim chrome strips under the LED lamps. The taillights are interconnected by an LED light bar. The bumper is revised with dual mock exhausts. Familiar 18-inch dual-tone alloys are retained, while the spare wheel remains mounted underneath.

Interior and Features

The cabin of the new MG Hector gets a redesigned, slimmer dashboard with a 14-inch full HD touchscreen infotainment system in a vertical orientation. The air conditioning vents are also refreshed in their styling. The steering wheel design is unchanged, but the new Hector adds ADAS capabilities. Interior features include updates like a higher resolution 360-degree camera display and the MG Assistant voice command system for controlling temperature and ambient lighting.

Powertrain 

The updated MG Hector carries over the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as before, now solely offered with a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. The mild-hybrid tech and 7-speed DCT options have been discontinued. On the diesel side, the 2.0-litre unit with 168hp max power soldiers is still mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox like the outgoing model.
