Volvo India has introduced its second all-electric SUV, the C40 Recharge, to the Indian market at an introductory price of Rs. 62.95 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The C40 Recharge features a 78 kWh battery pack similar to the XC40 Recharge but boasts an improved claimed WLTP range of up to 630 kilometres, thanks to its aerodynamic design. 

For the Indian market, the C40 Recharge comes in a twin-motor configuration with an AWD system, delivering 402.3 bhp and 660 Nm of peak torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 180 km/h. The SUV supports fast charging up to 150 kW, charging from 10 to 80 per cent in just 27 minutes.

Externally, it showcases Volvo's signature Thor's Hammer-shaped LED DRLs, LED headlamps, vertically stacked LED taillights, 19-inch alloy wheels, a sloping roofline, and a boot-mounted spoiler. The features list mirrors that of the XC40 Recharge, offering pixel LED headlights, 19-inch alloys, a 12.3-inch driver display, a 9.0-inch Android-based central infotainment unit, Harman Kardon sound system, wired Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, and vegan leather upholstery. Additionally, the C40 Recharge is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and a 360-degree camera.

For safety, it includes Level 3 ADAS features and an auto one-pedal drive system that can gauge traffic conditions.

The interior features engraved "Recharge" aluminium tread plates in the front door openings and a nine-inch infotainment system paired with Harman Kardon Premium Sound.
