The Volvo C40 Recharge is positioned above the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
Volvo Car India has announced that its latest Volvo C40 Recharge electric crossover will be launched in the country on September 4, 2023. The second EV from the Swedish carmaker is positioned above the Volvo XC40 Recharge, so expect the price to be around Rs. 62- Rs. 65 lakh (ex-showroom, India). While globally the Volvo C40 Recharge is available with single and dual motor options, India will get the 78 kW, dual motor, AWD variant, developing 402 bhp and 660 Nm of torque.

Visually, the Volvo C40 Recharge shares similarities with its sibling but gets cosmetic tweaks, enough to help differentiate between the two EVs. On the Volvo C40 Recharge, the electric crossover receives a new front bumper and a frameless grille plate, along with the signature Thor’s Hammer headlights embedded with pixel LED lights.

Like the Volvo XC40 Recharge, the C40 Recharge comes with a Google-based Android operating system, offering apps and services such as Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play Store. In terms of performance, the Volvo C40 Recharge does the 0-100 kmph sprint in 4.7 seconds and has a travel range of 530 km, while juicing up the battery from 10-80 per cent takes about 27 minutes.
