About Hyundai Diesel Cars

The Hyundai Santro was the carmaker’s debut vehicle. The Santro was an immediate success. It was launched in September in 1998. The Accent CRDi was named the 2005 "No. 1 Midsize Diesel Car." In 2006, the Hyundai Elantra entered the Indian market. It again became a massive success for Hyundai. 

The announcement of the first generation i10 took place in New Delhi in 2007. It was made at Hyundai's Chennai plant in India. It was meant for both the local and international markets. The turbo engine comes with an iMT or 7-speed DCT transmission, whereas the naturally aspirated petrol and diesel engines only have manual gears, measuring 5 and 6 speeds, respectively.  The redesigned front grille with chrome accents gives it a bold look. 

When looking at the SUV from the front, it has a split headlamp and indicator arrangement. The updated front bumper and the skid plate give it a dynamic appearance. The dashboard and seats inside the Venue have a dual-tone design. The AC vents, gear selector stick housing, and steering wheel all have chrome details.

Hyundai Creta

The Creta is a mid-size SUV. The price ranges between ₹ 13.57 L to ₹ 23.73 L. There are four different gearbox options available for the diesel engine. There are manual, automatic, IVT, and DCT gearboxes.

The exterior styling of the Creta includes the iconic chrome-encircled Hyundai hexagonal grille with split lighting and LED DRLs above. It has headlamps in the centre and fog lamps/indicators below.

The interior has a more traditional style and can have an all-black or dual-tone motif. It depends on the variant selection. The centre console of the dashboard is shaped like a ‘V’. All of the controls are arranged in a neat and accessible manner.

Hyundai Tucson

The Tucson is a high-range five-seater SUV. It can cost around ₹ 36.05 L - ₹ 43.91 L. A 2-litre engine with 183.4 horsepower and 416 Nm of torque powers the diesel version.  Gear changes are easy with the 8-speed automatic gearbox coupled to the diesel engine. 

The Tucson has a parametric grille in dark chrome with LED DRLs buried behind it. The body of the Tucson is designed to decrease the drag.   • Other features include a large touchscreen infotainment system with BlueLink connected car technology and a wireless phone charger. It will have several USB charging connections in every row and a twelve-speaker Harman Kardon sound system in the top-spec Palisade.
