Building on this is the new facelift model's revised interior theme, using new materials and colours for a more premium appeal. It gets an updated flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls along with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen for the latest BlueLink connectivity. 

In addition to the above features, it packs additional segment-first equipment like an integrated air purifier within the cabin. The old Hyundai i20 was powered by 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engines paired with manual or automatic transmissions. Specifically, it consisted of an 81.86 bhp 1.2L Kappa VTVT petrol and 88.76 bhp 1.4L U2 CRDi diesel motor. In the new facelifted i20, Hyundai has retained the proven 1.2-litre petrol unit while discontinuing the diesel alternative altogether in line with market dynamics. This 1.2-litre motor continues service unchanged, while transmission options now include a manual 5-speed MT or IVT automatic compared to the old 6-speed torque converter on the automatic gearbox.
